I'd like to put forward the proposal that the sequence-id:
$sequence-id:packet-data#checksum
be clearly deprecated. GDB doesn't produce them and all known targets
do nothing useful with them. Further, the syntax is dangerous as it
restricts (in a very bizare way) the contents of actual packets.
