Hi Andrew,
Martin Schwidefsky already has submitted binutils-2.10 & possibly others to
gnu.org & but as you know yourself
the binutils bfd etc is slightly different from the gdb binutils.
The alterations I made to Martins stuff is the minimal delta required to
get the stuff going.
( possibly 10-20 lines different from the already submitted binutils patch
).
You possibly ( depending on your procedures ) can take it that the 390
binutils patch already has been submitted.

Yes, that is my general intention. I'm endevoring to put in place the
mechanisms that allow you to help maintain the code once accepted. (I
can't directly speak for nickc BINUTILS). Can I assume that IBM are in
the process of setting up a disclaimer on any changes you (DJBARROW)
make to the FSF GDB & BINUTILS source code?
Regarding the just submitted patches, what is their current copyright
status? Is an assignment in place or will that be done once the patches
are accepted?
enjoy,
Andrew
