After I pushed I noticed one small issue, which was only apparent because I was doing a make distcheck to make sure we are ready for a release. The new testfile should have been added to EXTRA_DIST. That was easy to fix with the attached. So, I think we are pretty ready for a release now. The only open issue with respect to the tilegx backend is the failing elflint selftest where there is some disagreement about the _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_ symbol. But we can resolve that later. I am still not sure whether elflint is too strict here, or your toolchain is suboptimal. Could you start a new thread or reply to https://lists.fedorahosted.org/pipermail/elfutils-devel/2012-August/002500.html and we will get to the bottom of it.
