Thanks a lot for your explanations. I agree nearly totally.
Only the argument your "old cluncy ADM11" does not like control sequences
does not count. You could switch off the COLORED_LOGGING if you do not like
it or your hw is not able to display it. But I agree with you not
integrating it into eCos.
*XY* macros meant i.e. CYG_TRACE1X or CYG_TRACE3YV or the like. Sorry not
beeing clearer here.
My proposal concerning the printf on the host side is indeed fragile as it
is right now.
