If you look for old public domain release candidates (very old), just to try
$ aptitude search ecos
p ecos - Deeply embedded operating system
p ecos-doc - Documentation for eCos
p ecosconfig - eCos host-side software
aptitude install ...
You'll get the latest eCos RC before eCos 2.0.
