Synthetic serial device driver

- Subject: [ECOS] Synthetic serial device driver
I want to set up a synthetic target to access a serial port on my linux
host system. The reference manual seems to imply this is possible but
there does not seem to be a serial device driver for synthetic target or
host infrastructure in the packages tree.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Richard Forrest
