- Subject: [ECOS] Help with one HAL
Hi,
My name is Garikoitz Legarda. I´m a spanish student doing the final project
to obtain a degree in computer science.
It is essencial for my project to have the Lubbock HAL for eCos. My target
board is a Lubbock based one and I need the source code to modify it and
make eCos run.
The main problem I have noticed is that there is no way for obtaining the
source code of this HAL. I have tried asking to Montavista but they replayed
me saying that they havn´t it so they can't provide me this source code.
They suggested me to ask for this code to Intel. And again when I have tryed
to ask for the code to Intel I have received replies telling me about
problems with some legality issue.
My purpose is RT-OS research, and I´m working in a research center in a
generic project not product oriented. My intention is to finish my project
and that´s all. That´s why I understand that there must not be legality
problems.
Do you know how could I get this HAL? purchasing or free, no matters! Has
anybody it and can give it to me?
Thanks in advance!!!
Best Regards!!
Note: Intel Developer Services Forums and Montavista have been consulted
with no positive results, It´s an infinite loop!
