Trilok,

The EDB7312 is based on the EP7312 and the CS8900a.  The CS89712 is just
an EP7312 and a CS8900a in the same package!  In fact the chip select and
interrupt used for the CS8900a on the EDB7312 board are missing on the
CS89712 chip as they are used for the same purpose.  When I designed the
EDB7312 it was our intent to offer a CS89712 board as well, but Cirrus asked
us no to and since they were our biggest customer for the EDB7312 (we call
it the CDK238) we agreed.

Bottom line, the EDB7312 is an excellent source to being with.  Gary Thomas
did the original port and it is very easy to work with.
