If you don't mind being thrown in the deep end, you could try to make
the 82550 work. You might find that once you have added the PCI
identifier, it just works. On the other hand, it may not. The Linux
driver combines all the 825xx drivers into one, so that might give you
some clues. Just be careful not to use an GPL code if you make changes
to the eCos driver.
