You can't compile ecos *for* cygwin. You can compile eCos *in* cygwin for
another target such as arm, i386-pc (i.e. booting off a floppy), powerpc,
etc. At a guess, you probably want to follow the instructions on the
website to build an i386-elf toolchain for the PC target.
