Folks, I want to give an update on this spam garbage on the ecos-discuss
mailing list.

The cygnus.com host has seen a dramatic incrase in spamming lately.
There are no spam blocking measures on this host.

The sourceware.cygnus.com host has a whole bunch of spam blocking
measures in place.  They cannot be activated for this mailing list
as long as the ecos-discuss@cygnus.com address forwards mail to
ecos-discuss@sourceware.cygnus.com.

I've written an autoresponder which will stop this forwarding for all
of the cygnus.com lists.  It will send the note back to the sender with
a message like, "This list has moved to ..., please resend your note."

I'll talk with our IS group to have this autoresponder installed next
week.
