[docbook] Possible bug in pdf table output?

Folks,

If I include the following colspecs in my xml, I cannot create a pdf
rendering of the article. If I remove the colspecs, the rendered table
looks awful as it tries to render a dense column in a very narrow
region. I *can* generate xhtml output that looks ok. I can privately
send the whole input xml if it matters:
