Just to add my 0.2 Euros to the comments:
I like:
- Losing cruft (no comments on the actual elements lost).
I would _hate_ to see semantic markup go away, when reducing
complexity
- RELAX-NG is something what I expected XML Schemas to look like when
I first heard about the XML schema effort, and is probably the way
to go, even though my XML editor, PSGML, doesn't support it
- Using a namespace. Even though I think XML namespaces is a clunky
thing, and the root of much misunderstanding, it's important for
XML interoperability and the possiblity of mixing vocabularies
- I like allowing foreign vocabularies. I think eg. XHTML tables, if
added, should be in the XHTML namespace. I'm already using
XInclude for including text files
I don't like:
- Designing for the web.
I would prefer to see "Designing for semantic capture"
(My emphasis is primarily on printed documentation, ie. as an
MSWord replacement for our documentation)
