- Subject: DOCBOOK: Looking to customize the look and feel of Docbook.
Hi !
I'm new to docbook - been writing in Docbook since past 2 weeks.
I just finished writing my first book byt cutting and pasting the sgml
source from the Norman Walsh book!
That worked a lot better than trying to read cover to cover and trying
to figure out what I need.
I use dbhtml to process my xml document.
I'm trying to create some cutomized look and feel.
For e.g in the html output that is generated, I would like the following:
1) A custom logo that is displayed on the header of each page
2) Turning on/off navigation header/trailer
3) Having gifs images that can be used inline instead of the prev, next,
home , up link etc
4) Being able to set the foreground/background color etc for the pages
I understand that some of the above is done by modifying the dtd, some
by using custom DSSSL and others
bye including my .css
I do not know the details of how to do any of the above though!
Reading Chapter 5 - Customizing Docbook did not help me much here.
Are there some sample documents that I can start to get some or all of
the above look and feel?
thanks a lot !
