There is a placeholder template named 'user.head.content'
that you can define. The output of that template is
put into the <HEAD> element of the HTML output.  You could
have it put out one or more link elements for stylesheets.

Presumably that template could contain logic to determine
which stylesheet name to use for a given output file.
