Thanks; it works, but now I have another problem:
even if I already have modified texmf.cnf to
increase some values, I still get the following
message:

If you really absolutely need more capacity,
you can ask a wizard to enlarge me.
Here is how much of TeX's memory you used:

5199 words of font info for 18 fonts, out of 400000 for 1000
14 hyphenation exceptions out of 10000

No pages of output.
