Hi! Thanks a lot. So, I did what a "good SW eng" does : I had deleted every thing (Except the tarballs directory), and started all over again. Right at the beginning it said that flex is not installed (upon the "./configure --prefix=/some/place" command). So, I had installed it properly, and everything went well. So in a way this case is closed. I have no idea why.
