I agree. Going all the way to building its own make version, CT-NG
should probably first try to see how many patches are actually needed
to fix components. As I said in another thread, all those components
should gradually get fixed upstream as make 3.82 becomes more
widespread, so the problem is likely to disappear progressively in the
future. In my opinion, it really doesn't make sense to modify CT-NG so
that it builds its own make version, just for that problem.
