Great! My build is still running.

I'm going to look into patches to get 3.82 working.
It sounds like packaging make 3.81 will be too much:
http://sourceware.org/ml/crossgcc/2011-01/msg00053.html

and there are already some patches on this list to fix 3.82:
http://sourceware.org/ml/crossgcc/2011-01/msg00057.html

But now that I have an fc14 vm, I will see what else I find.

> 2) Applied CLoog/ppl patch referenced in earlier emails

This should be in 1.9 tip:
http://ymorin.is-a-geek.org/hg/crosstool-ng/rev/2b25e1dab615

So it will be in 1.9.3 and 2.0(?)...

> 3) Installed static libstdc++ lib, also had libc static already installed
> previously

Here I think we should stat the file returned by:
<host>-gcc -print-file-name=libstdc++.a

and if it turns out to be a non-existent file, then bail and warn
about static libstdc++ missing.

> 4) Set library for eglibc instead of glibc <- don't know if it makes a

Shouldn't make a difference. eglibc is source compatible with glibc. (in theory)

> 5) Set CT_LIBC_GLIBC_EXTRA_CFLAGS="-U_FORTIFY_SOURCE"

I'm thinking we should just turn this on for all (e)glibc builds. If
we build with SSP enabled, we have to do other thing here instead to
build (e)glibc properly with ssp.

See notes above.
