OK, I've experimented with using this when compiling the final gcc.
And it works with the toolchain in its original path, and it also
works after the toolchain has been relocated! :-)

We do not need the symlink workaround. Yeah! :-)

I'll do a proper patch and push that later after a few other tests on some
other architectures.
