Sorry, no insult intended. I was just saying that the findutils you are using
were released 16-Oct-2004, which is 3 years and a half. That sounds a little bit

Did you use one of the provided ARM samples? The 4 samples are all configured
to build toolchains targeting Xscale.

Yep. Building a kernel and having it boot is quite a good test-bed for a
toolchain! But that exercises only the co;piler, not the C library.
If you get a busybox-based rootfs and it works, then you're pretty well
set up!
