RE: looking for toolchain (and more) for TS-7250 ARM SBC

Hi Robert,

This thing has Cirrus Logic 9302 commerical version ARM9 based MCU. I have
the board, and I'm also interested in participating in a project in porting
2.6.x kernel onto it.

I've tried to actually build 2.6.x (don't remember which version exactly),
and I think it somwhwat worked on the board, but then - it was not just that
simple ;-)

I would like to put some time into having 2.6.x kernel running on it, so
drop a note if you need some more manpower.

Cheers and happy holidays!

Robertino

Subject: looking for toolchain (and more) for TS-7250 ARM SBC

a friend is teaching a course starting in the new year, and the
class will be doing some projects with this SBC:

http://www.embeddedarm.com/epc/ts7250-spec-h.html

the company already supplies everything they need -- toolchain (based
on crosstool 0.28), and a 2.4.26 kernel:

http://www.embeddedarm.com/linux/ARM.htm

thing is, part of the course involves hooking that board up to a
labtec webcam pro, and it would be *ever* so much easier if they had a
2.6-based system, and not the 2.4 one that's available to them.

the company just doesn't have the manpower to develop and support a
2.6 kernel on that board, so i'm hoping someone on this list can give
me a pointer or two to anyone who might have ported 2.6 to that board,
starting with building a more recent toolchain, a kernel, and so on.

  help, anyone?

rday
