This is the time for me to plug the Fedora Core to ARM(eb) port:

I'm working on porting FC3 as we speak, which uses gcc 3.4.2 and glibc
2.3.3 throughout the distro. The target CPUs for this are the Intel
IXP series in big-endian mode, but the binary packages should work on
any armv4b target. (They should compile on little-endian too but I
don't have any little-endian hardware so there are no packages for
that.)

[root@enp2611 /]# uname -a
Linux enp2611.wantstofly.org 2.6.11-rc4 #19 Mon Feb 21 17:13:10 CET 2005 armv5teb armv5teb armv5teb GNU/Linux
[root@enp2611 /]# head -5 /proc/cpuinfo
Processor : XScale-IXP2400 rev 1 (v5teb)
BogoMIPS : 1153.43
Features : swp half thumb fastmult edsp
CPU implementer : 0x69
CPU architecture: 5TE
[root@enp2611 /]# cat /etc/fedora-release
Fedora Core release 3 (Heidelberg)
[root@enp2611 /]# rpm -q gcc
gcc-3.4.2-6.fc3ARM
[root@enp2611 /]# rpm -q glibc
glibc-2.3.3-74ARM
[root@enp2611 /]#

cheers,
