I normally do
$ su
# mkdir /opt/crosstool
# chown $USER /opt/crosstool
# exit

That lets the current user write to /opt/crosstool
without being root.

I need install to my local direcotry.
How set the install path?

Change the line

RESULT_TOP=/opt/crosstool

in the demo script.
