i agree it is a bit of a problem to use Internet productively for somebody who lives high up in the mountains and has no access to broadband etc. the question i keep asking myself is: why is it that people have to put flash, tons of images and links to some crap adverts, which probably download their image files from some slow server on the other side of the world. every web developer who sticks flash/java applet on the front page and doesn't provide text only version of their website, has to be shot.
