The FAQ's a bit out of date.  Additional info is at
http://crossgcc.billgatliff.com/

If you want gcc2.95 support, easiest way is to install
http://www.denx.de/ELDK/ I suspect.  It supports the
powerpc, and would be a good place to start even if
it doesn't directly support your rs6000.

If you want gcc3.0.4 support, you might consider looking
at the build script I and Dimi are putting together; see
http://www.kegel.com/xgcc3/
