Hi: I copied over the following binaries: gcs-core-20000424.tar.gz egcs-g++-20000424.tar.gz binutils-000426 And followed the directions in the web page on Bilding the NEC MIPS VR4300 development tools for Linux. I did not install any patches. The binutils went fine. When I tried to configure gcc, I get the message: root@lx39 binutils]# /usr/local/src/gcc/egcs-20000424/configure --target=mips6 4vr4300-elf --prefix=/tools --exec-prefix=/tools/H-i686-pc-linux-gnu --with-gnu - -as --with-gnu-ld --with-newlib -v 2>&1 | tee configure.out checking whether getrusage must be declared... no checking if mkdir takes one argument... no Configuration mips64vr4300-unknown-elf not supported Configure in /tmp/build/gcc/gcc failed, exiting. Can someone shed some light on this? I want to port eCos to a new board which has the QED RM5231 chip set, so I need to set up a cross development environment. Thanks in advance, -- Warren Warren J.
