I did a quick test to see if I could configure binutils-2.9.1 and egcs-1.1.2 to target the Mac; binutils was successful, but egcs failed with the message 'Configuration powerpc-apple-macos not supported'. So it appears that the compiler needs some more work done to it in order to target the Mac. In the meatime, I believe that Microsoft have a cross-compiler add-on for Visual C++ that allows you to cross-compile applications for the Mac on a Win32 host (and debug them remotely, as well), so this is probably your best bet if you need to cross-compile from Win32. I'm copying this to the crossgcc mailing list in case there's anyone else out there who might know more about this and would care to comment. -- Scott Howard mailto:scott@objsw.com Object Software Inc.
