gdb over 68360 BDM

I remember reading somewhere that Motorola CPU32 BDM support
had been integrated as a target type in gdb, allowing remote
debugging via the CPU32 BDM port using a standard BDM cable.

I have consulted the crossgcc FAQ, and the gdb docs but cant
find any direct reference to cpu32 BDM. Is BDM supported in the
current gdb release?

If so I'd appreciate some pointers on how to configure it properly.
I've been building for m68360-rom-aout, and I would assume some
form of bdm target would be supported for this target, but so far
no luck..

Could anyone shed some light on this?

Are there any other debuggers around that support BDM and can be
compiled and/or run on a linux box ??
