You could try installing an older guile someplace off on the side, and put it into your $PATH for cgen runs / sid builds. Then again, the eCos/sid HOWTO mentions a cgen patch and a sid cgen regeneration phase that is now unnecessary, since the arm7t patch is included in the repository. You should be able to skip right to the "make all install" stage. - FChE
