Thanks for the pointer. But how do I use the src-release file? It seems to be a makefile. But from what directory should I run it? and do I need to pass it arguments or what? From the source directory I get: ~/binutils/src$ make -f src-release make: *** No rule to make target `list-of-support-files-for-tool-in-question', needed by `taz'. Stop. and from the build directory I get: john@muse:/Scratch/john/binutils$ make -f ~/binutils/src/src-release make: *** No rule to make target `README', needed by `taz'. Stop. ????
