- Subject: Linking to different style mangled names
Hi,
Forgive me if this is covered in some documentation somewhere, but I haven't
found it.
I trying to link to a library which appears to have been built with an older
version of GCC. One of the mangled function names is:
open__5Tibrv
However when I compile my app with GCC 3.4.6 it is looking for this name:
_ZN5Tibrv4openEv
The only information I can find about the first style is in "GCC: The
complete reference" by Arthur Griffith, who says his book is based on GCC
3.1
The question is how can I convince the linker to do it's stuff here? I
don't really want to affect the whole application, just this library.
Perhaps it is not possible?
TIA,
David.
