Debugging & relocation ..

Hi,

I am building a set of source into a binary file, which is included as data in an executable ( linked in actually, whithout symbols ) which is then copied into the place it's supposed to execute, and now my question is if it is possible to generate debugging symbols for gcc concerning the binary that was built ? I have been looking back and forth in order to figure this out but I haven't found a way for this, I can easily generate symbol info and map files from the linking but I have had no clues about the debugging info ? ( also how do I use two files with debugging info ? .gdb ).

/ regards, Lars Segerlund.
