Nope, I just believed the MIPSpro N32 Handbook:

Table 2-1      N32 and Native 64-Bit Interface Register Conventions
$12..$15          t4..t7           Temporaries             Caller-saved

I find it would be a really bad idea to give the same name to
different registers depending on the ABI.
