Is .vtable_entry and .vtable_inherit properly supported by the arm-elf format?

An older message from 29 Jan 2001 (http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc/2001-01/msg01697.html) said the C++ vtable garbage collection did not function properly. I'm assuming the linker was at fault. Does anyone know if it works in the current version of the arm-elf linker (as well as the arm-elf assembler, of course)? Obviously, I could (and will in few weeks) run some tests of my own to see if it appears to be working, but I'd appreciate hearing the answer from someone who is in a position to know.
