Building cross binutils for hppa elf-64 for gcc 3.00

Is it currently possible to build cross binutils with version 2.11.2?

/home/spstarr/gcc-build/gcc/xgcc -B/home/spstarr/gcc-build/gcc/
-B/usr/local/hp-cross/hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/bin/
-B/usr/local/hp-cross/hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/lib/ -isystem
/usr/local/hp-cross/hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/include -DCROSS_COMPILE
-DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wmissing-prototypes -isystem ./include libgcc1-test.o -o libgcc1-test
\
  -nostartfiles -nostdlib `/home/spstarr/gcc-build/gcc/xgcc
-B/home/spstarr/gcc-build/gcc/
-B/usr/local/hp-cross/hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/bin/
-B/usr/local/hp-cross/hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/lib/ -isystem
/usr/local/hp-cross/hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/include
--print-libgcc-file-name`
/usr/local/hp-cross/hppa64-hp-hpux11.00/bin/ld: warning: cannot find

I saw something simular to this on
http://puffin.external.hp.com/mailing-lists/parisc-linux/2000/02-Feb/0075.html

but building binutils/gcc cross tools on freebsd doesnt appear to work?

Anyone have a solution?

Shawn.
