problem finding bfdsumm.texi in 2.11

When I configured in another directory than the source, and
issued
"make dvi"
I got:

! I can't find file `bfdsumm.texi'.
for the command:

I'm using texi2dvi 4.0 on redhat 6.2 (i386).
It was in bfd/doc, I'm not sure why it wasn't finding it...
Not a major problem (I symlinked bfdsumm.texi), but figured I'd report
this...
