It is possible that it didn't work in a meaningful way, in which case
perhaps we should remove it.

It wasn't a Cygnus project per se.  Brendan had access to a WE32K
machine somewhere, and did it for fun.  (I think he had so much fun
that he never worked on BFD again.)
