I did the same.

I was having a problem getting a table to 'stay' on one page. I did not 
want to ask fop specific questions here and when someone made the 
suggestion to join the apache fop mailing list, I did.

A pointer to a solution flowed pass in a few hours and we now build our 
August calender of events in pdf!
