Hi:

Java Servlet/Applets can help you run XSLT engine to transform XML into
HTML/XHTML/XML/PDF.
Or, you can try Cocoon servlet engine, located at http://xml.apache.org/.
You don't need to write servlets or applets.
What you need to know is XML and XML-related technology, like XSL
stylesheets, XSP, to generate dynamic web pages.
