Just for fun, I created a stylesheet which parses the W3C XSLT draft
document to provide help for each XSL element. This "help" system, as
written, requires IE5 or above with the MSXML3 upgrade installed. The
base stylesheet, however, should be easily modified to fit any XSLT
processor/HTML viewer combination.
To use this, download the starting HTML file and XSL stylesheet
<http://home.att.net/~sckienle/xml/xslthelp.zip>, unzip the two files
and double click on the xslt-help.html file. Once the page is loaded,
you will see two drop down lists at the top of the page. Select the
element you wish to view help for, and whether you need the syntax,
the information from the XSLT draft document, or just a listing of the
elements which can be "inside" the selected element. When you click
the Generate button, the requested information will be displayed on
the page.
NOTE: This opens the XSLT draft document directly from the W3C web
site. If you are using a dial-up connection, this may take a while.
