>but I don't know how to sort the items by the field punteggio
When I replaced your
<xsl:apply-templates select="parade/personaggio" />
with
<xsl:apply-templates select="parade/personaggio">
<xsl:sort data-type="number" select="@punteggio"/>
</xsl:apply-templates>
and fixed your namespace declaration to use the Rec version of the spec,
Saxon sorted it by the punteggio value. When I changed the namespace
declaration back and tried it with IE 5.00 it didn't sort it, but according
to http://www.vbxml.com/xsl/XSLTRef.asp msxml2 doesn't support xsl:sort, so
maybe that's the MS XML parser installed with my copy of IE. I haven't
worked with IE's XSLT support much.
