The section in the XSLT recommendation that talks about top-level (i.e.
stylesheet) parameters is 11.4 (Top-Level Variables and Parameters) at
<http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#top-level-variables>.
I'm afraid I don't know what XSL API Javadoc you're referring to, so can't
help you specifically with that, but a search for 'parameter' might help.
