When I need to debug what IE5 is doing with a given script, I use the MSXSL
diagnostic environment I have described on our web site (under the
resources link) and in the last module of the free download preview excerpt
of our book (under the commercial training materials link).
With this diagnostic environment you can generate a stand-alone HTML file
using the Microsoft XSLT environment, and then examine the HTML file to see
why the screen is blank. This is useful because the View/Source function
in IE5 reveals the XML source, not the HTML intermediate file.
