Remember Tk interface that comes with newer versions of xpilot (probably
with your X11 server) ? Just imagine a similar cgi script that would
enable players to start a xconq server and then they could connect with
their clients and play. It would probably somehow similar to xconq -x :)

A more non-free version is anything that goes through Battlenet
(Diablo, Red Alert, Startcraft).

The idea is that the players can set up the server (in our case using the
web) and then play the game without shell access to the server. If xconq
server with no diplay would work at this moment, I would be writing that
cgi just now :)


On synchronistion, lag, latency and related matters: how well do other
players far with a client-server connection over a modem? How well does it
play? Do we need compression?
