- Reply-to: sourceware-bugzilla at sourceware dot org
As reported several times, backtraces that involve functions that have .return
probes in their call stack lose the information about the actual caller.
This has not been solved with the new unwinder code but it should.
In the farther future, stack traces through interpreted languages will also
require the unwinder to have hooks to call to other runtime/tapset functions
(e.g., jvm jit cache searching) when stack frames and/or executables need it.
