The SYNOPSIS sections are useless, as they are ignored by the doc tools,
which only use the ANSI_SYNOPSIS section.  If anything is to be done,
the SYNOPSIS section really should just be deleted so that we don't
waste time on something which is being ignored.

No.

SYNOPSIS is synonymous with ANSI_SYNOPSIS. [1]

TRAD_SYNOPSIS is ignored.
