Re: Monthly snapshot 2.2.0-1 available


It's not an official release and I don't change the release number of newlib.  This is just the
name of the tar file.  In the packaging world, it would be like taking the 2.2.0 snapshot and
adding patches to it.  The way to do this would be to label it 2.2.0-something.

does it have to be -# ?  that's pretty unusual versioning wise.  the trailing -# 
tends to be used by distros for their own stuff.

couldn't we go with 2.2.0.# ?  or just 2.2.# ?
