Bug ID: 18491
Summary: Update tr_TR LC_CTYPE as part of Unicode updates
Product: glibc
Version: 2.21
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: localedata
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: myllynen at redhat dot com
CC: libc-locales at sourceware dot org, maiku.fabian at gmail dot com
Target Milestone: ---
The tr_TR locale contains an old copypasted version of the i18n file in its
LC_CTYPE section due to dotless i/I change required. It would be helpful if the
scripting machinery doing i18n / Unicode updates could also update the LC_CTYPE
section of tr_TR.
The required dotless i/I change is described in detail in tr_TR. While at it,
it might make sense to check whether this old bug is actually a bug in the
tr_TR locale: https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1354 (i.e., would
a similar change as what is now in place for i would be required also for Ã).
Thanks.
