I don't know about the SuSE guys, but I am also not paid to do Linux
glibc work.

Sorry, this wasn't always the case and I don't know when it changed
for you.  If there are problems with maintaining the speed of the
development I would have expected that somebody told me.  For the
changes in question it would have been possible to do the work even
without Hurd compilation possibilities.

I don't know why you feel attaked personally.  Nobody demands that you
do the work all by yourself.  But I will also not allow that the slow
Hurd development is slowing down the development on Linux as well.  It
is no problem to be behind, just let your users know about this.  When
I make a release I can easily say that this is not for Hurd.  Maybe
this would even lead to people offering to help.
